Speaking of movies that go over the top, "Running Scared" goes so far over the top, it circumnavigates the top and doubles back on itself; it's the Mobius Strip of over-the-topness. I am in awe. It throws in everything but the kitchen sink.
Actually, he's well matched with writer-director Kramer, whose ability to tell a down-and-dirty story is approximately equal to Walker's ability to perform in one. The CoolerKramer's debut feature, was tremendously overrated, probably because the presence of William H. Macy fooled people into thinking that the rest of the film measured up; his new one is formally dedicated to Sam Peckinpah, Brian De Palma, and Walter Hill.
After night falls in the theater district, a burly bouncer takes his post in front of an unmarked red door, revealing nothing about the secret attraction that lurks behind him. Men in the know approach him furtively, flashing private invitations on their smartphones that promise access to the club: a noir tableau with gilded mirrors; shabby red couches; and a couple dozen women waiting in various stages of undress, just bits of leopard print, fishnet and lace. The lighting is dim and the space so cramped that bodies press against bodies even when cash is not changing hands.

This hotel is not safe and very sleazy place, I booked on Travelocity for a business trip, when we arrived my husband went in to check in and sitting in the parking lot I noticed the hotel has a strip club attached, it was very run down and not lit up like you would expect for a hotel to be. I can only imagine what really takes place at this hotel brothel. I am currently disputing the charge with my credit card company since they refused to refund any of our money.
The club got into trouble when two council officers posing as customers were offered sexual activity. Ealing Council said the club had ceased operations after an investigation revealed a number of licence breaches, including an instance where dancers offered to perform sex acts and spend the night with two inspection officers for extra cash. Following the closure, the council are considering a policy recommendation to reduce the number of Sexual Entertainment Venues SEVs in Ealing to zero.
Corrected entry : The premise that the gun has to be found so it doesn't link Joey and his fellow mobsters to the shoot out at the beginning of the movie makes no sense. Since Joey has retrieved the bullets fired off by Oleg and considering that the gun has gone through so many hands there is no evidence at all that the gun has ever been in Joey's possession. Correction: Except for the entire scene in the strip club where the dirty cop is black mailing them because he was in the shoot out at the beginning of the movie, saw that gun being used to shot a cop in the crotch, and then saw Joe at the hospital trying to swap the bullets. That entire scene explains how the gun is linked to Joe.
